This is a clean, medium intensity Ruby colored wine in appearance. On the nose, I get pronounced aromas of vanilla, honeysuckle, oak and a bit of strawberry and raspberry. On the palate there is a slight sweetness, with medium acidity, medium body and a long finish. I do love wines by Gnarly Head as I enjoy the old vine wines that provide the taster such a bold flavor. Try the other Gnarly head wines also. Pair with a veal and caper dish, lamb or other gamey meats. This wine is a good crowd pleaser.
